As we all move rapidly to prepare ourselves, our families, and our homes due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many of us want to make sure that folks in Putney are connected to each other to increase our communities vitality and resilience during this time. Other communities around Vermont are doing this as well.
Please consider filling out this form (http://bit.ly/PutneyMutualAid) collecting info on Putney Area Mutual Aid (Neighborhood Help) and share concerns you have about your own needs and/or ways you would like to volunteer to offer support.
We have gotten clear direction that all action will be taken with the approved guidance of the Emergency Management Director (Tom Goddard, Putney's Fire Chief). This effort to coordinate mutual aid using this form is a way to gather information only. All volunteer efforts will be coordinated through Putney's Emergency Management Coordinator and shared as needed with Town Manager Karen Astley, Principal Herve Pelletier and Foodshelf Executive Director Hannah Pick. If you have any concerns and wish to reach Emergency Management Director Tom Goddard, you can contact him directly [802-387-4372; 802-579-9526; or via email at chief@putneyvt.org]. If you are interested in connecting directly with the Putney Foodshelf to arrange for volunteering or to make a monetary donation, please contact Executive Director Hannah Pick directly [putneyfoodshelf@gmail.com].
If you know someone who is not online much and/or would find it difficult to fill out this survey, please have them contact us and we can do this over the phone.
Wishing you all much health and peace,
