Food4Kids
Located at Putney Central School throughout the school year. Fresh produce and kid-friendly foods are available to all students and staff weekly, in a free and fun open-air market. Uniquely designed to reduce stigma to food access, Food4Kids encourages everyone to take part. Currently serving around 165 students/staff each week.
The mission of F4K is to empower kids to meet their own nutritional needs and to make sure that they have access to the food they need to thrive.

Program Description
Food4Kids (F4K) gives students the opportunity to choose food to bring home. This can be a fun learning experience for kids to practice “shopping” and can create a feeling of pride when they share with others. The food is kid-friendly, nutritious, and easy to prepare. Fresh produce is always available, along with rotating meal ingredients and snacks, and features local products whenever possible.
