On May 2, 2018, Hannah Pick, Foodshelf Coordinator; Nancy Olson, Foodshelf Board president; and Laura Chapman, Foodshelf Board member, joined The Grammar School for their all-school meeting and were given a giant check, totaling the amount raised during The Grammar School’s Ski for Hunger event on March 1, 2018. The grand total is $5,754.75!
The Putney Foodshelf is exceedingly grateful for the efforts of all the students and faculty who made Ski for Hunger a big success. Special thanks go to each individual skier who gave it their all, to their family and friends who support them, to Libby McCawley who dreamed up the idea, and to Matt Mitchell for rallying the support to make it happen. It was truly a joyful and inspiring event to witness, and we are thrilled that this is intended to be an event repeated for years to come.
